Job summary

Physicians Eyecare Group is seeking a Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) to provide comprehensive eye care and integrative optometric services in Farmington, NM. The NP will perform ocular assessments, co-manage cataract/LASIK cases, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient eye health and well-being.

The role requires an active NM NP license, DEA registration, and a minimum of two years in NP practice, with experience in ophthalmology or integrative medicine preferred.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in New Mexico.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one in New Mexico.
• MSN or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years NP experience; primary care/ophthalmology/integrative medicine preferred.
• Strong proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams including visual acuity testing and refraction.
• Co-manage pre- and post-operative care for cataract surgery, LASIK, and other procedures.
• Order diagnostic imaging and ocular testing (OCT, visual fields, fundus photography).
• Refer patients to ophthalmologists or specialists when needed.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the EHR; participate in quality initiatives and patient safety protocols.
• Mentor and collaborate with clinical support staff; pursue ongoing education.
