Job summary

Physicians Eyecare Group seeks a Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) to join our eye care center in Farmington, NM. You will provide comprehensive eye exams and integrative optometric care, co-manage ophthalmic procedures, and work with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient eye health.

The role is part-time, on-site at 4906 E Main St, Farmington, NM 87402, reporting to the Medical Director. NM NP license and DEA are required, with 2+ years in ophthalmology or related fields.

Qualifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in New Mexico.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility in NM.
• MSN or DNP from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years NP experience; ophthalmology or integrative medicine preferred.
• Proficiency with EHR/EMR and strong communication/patient education skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams including visual acuity, refraction, and anterior/posterior segment evaluations.
• Diagnose and manage ocular conditions including dry eye, conjunctivitis, blepharitis, glaucoma co-management, and diabetic eye disease.
• Co-manage pre- and post-operative care for cataract, LASIK, and other procedures.
• Order imaging/tests (OCT, visual fields, fundus photography) and refer to ophthalmologists when needed.
• Maintain HIPAA/compliance and support quality improvement initiatives.
