Job summary

Physicians Eyecare Group seeks a Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) for our new eyecare center in Farmington, NM. This part-time, on-site role delivers comprehensive eye care, ocular assessments, and integrative nursing within a multidisciplinary team.

An active NM NP license, DEA, and MSN or DNP are required, with 2+ years in NP practice (ophthalmology or primary care preferred). Flexible scheduling includes some evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP license in New Mexico.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one in New Mexico.
• MSN or Doctor of Nursing Practice from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years NP experience; ophthalmology or integrative medicine preferred.
• Strong proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and clinical documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams including visual acuity testing and refraction assessments.
• Diagnose and manage ocular conditions (dry eye, conjunctivitis, blepharitis, glaucoma co-management).
• Co-manage pre- and post-operative care for cataract surgery, LASIK, and other procedures.
• Order diagnostics and imaging (OCT, visual fields, fundus photography).
• Refer to ophthalmologists when needed.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the EHR and participate in quality initiatives.
