Job summary

Physicians Eyecare Group in New Mexico is seeking a compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our eyecare center. You will perform comprehensive eye exams, ocular assessments, and deliver integrative optometric care in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate holds an active NM NP license, DEA, and an MSN/DNP, with 2 years of NP experience in primary care or ophthalmology. You will co-manage pre/post-operative care for cataract and LASIK and contribute to patient education and

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP license in New Mexico.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility.
• MSN or DNP from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 2 years NP experience; ophthalmology preferred.
• Strong proficiency with EHR/EMR and documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams and ocular assessments.
• Co-manage pre- and post-operative care for cataract and LASIK.
• Order imaging and testing (OCT, visual fields).
• Refer to ophthalmology when needed.
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation.
• Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and state regulations.
