Job summary

Physicians Eyecare Group is seeking a Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) for the State of New Mexico to deliver comprehensive eye care and integrative optometric services. The NP will work within a multidisciplinary team to support patient eye health and overall well-being.

An active NM NP license is required. The role involves performing eye exams, co-managing pre- and post-operative care for cataract and LASIK, and ordering retinal imaging and diagnostic tests.

Qualifications

• Active NP license issued by NM Board; MSN or DNP from accredited program.
• DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one in NM.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams including visual acuity and refractions.
• Co-manage pre- and post-operative care for cataract surgery and LASIK.
• Order diagnostic imaging such as OCT, visual fields, and fundus photography.
• Refer to ophthalmologists or specialists when needed.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the EHR system.
