Job summary

Warby Parker in Short Hills, NJ is seeking an Optometric Technician to work with our optometrists, handling pre-testing, data collection, and support for eye exams in a high-volume retail setting. Qualifications

• Must have Optometric Technician training or CPOT certification.
• Professional, articulate, compassionate patient care.
• Team player with strong communication with doctors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between doctor and patient to establish rapport.
• Perform preliminary data collection (autorefraction, visual acuity, tonometry, etc.).
• Support in-person and video assisted eye exam appointments.
• Train new contact lens wearers on insertion/removal and train team members.
• Assist with appointment flow, confirmations, and follow-up communications.
• Maintain accurate records and support reporting to medical professionals.
• Ensure HIPAA/privacy compliance and store procedures.
• Keep exam rooms organized, stocked, and clean; calibrate equipment as needed.
• Support retail team per Store Leader directions.
