Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking an External Manufacturing Sourcing Manager to define sourcing opportunities, develop strategies, and negotiate with suppliers to maximize value. Location options include Midland MI, Houston TX, Terneuzen, Tarragona.

You will lead supplier qualification, bid events (RFI/RFQ/RFP), manage risks, and drive continuous improvement through SRM and KPIs. A bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience are expected; US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or military equivalent; or 10 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience.
• For U.S. applicants: must be able to work legally in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Clarify the scope of purchase and service requirements with stakeholders.
• Drive market value through sourcing strategies and competitive solutions.
• Assess risk profiles of markets, suppliers, and purchases.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for safe, compliant procurement.
• Lead supplier qualification, RFI/RFQ/RFP, and negotiations.
• Analyze problems, challenge inefficiencies, and propose improvements.
• Negotiate and implement commercial agreements per geography.
• Conduct Supplier Performance Evaluation and SRM to drive KPI improvements.
• Exercise influential leadership to elevate team performance.
