Job summary

Dow Inc. seeks an External Manufacturing Sourcing Manager to define sourcing opportunities, develop strategies, leverage supplier relationships, analyze markets and negotiate with suppliers to optimize value.

The role can be located in Midland (MI), Houston (TX), Terneuzen (NL) or Tarragona (ES). Responsibilities include leading supplier qualification, RFIs/RFQ, competitive bidding, bid evaluations and negotiations, plus implementing SRM and KPI-driven improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or comparable military experience (US E5/Canadian PO2/Sergeant) or 10 years of relevant work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
• US work authorization; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Clarify purchase scope with stakeholders.
• Drive value through market knowledge and competitive solutions.
• Assess risk of market, supplier, and purchases.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies meeting safety/compliance.
• Lead sourcing projects: qualification, RFIs, RFQs, bidding, evaluations; negotiate with suppliers.
• Resolve complex problems and evaluate solutions.
• Negotiate and implement commercial agreements per strategies.
• Conduct supplier performance evaluation and SRM; drive KPI-based improvements.
• Elevate team performance through influential leadership.
