Job summary

Subaru of Santa Monica is seeking an Express Service Advisor to greet guests, manage express lane service from write-up to return, and communicate maintenance needs clearly. The role emphasizes fast, accurate service and a guest-focused experience in a busy Southern California Subaru store.

The ideal candidate has guest-facing experience in automotive service or related fields, a strong ability to communicate, and comfort with DMS platforms.

Qualifications

• Guest-facing experience in automotive service, hospitality, retail, or a fast-paced customer service environment.
• Automotive service advisor or express lane experience is a strong plus.
• Clear, efficient communicator with the ability to manage guests quickly and professionally.
• Organized and accurate under pace; documentation must be correct.
• Familiarity with DMS platforms or quick to learn them; Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in the express lane and manage their service visit from write-up to vehicle return.
• Accurately document guest concerns, vehicle information, and requested services on repair orders.
• Communicate multi-point inspection findings clearly and honestly.
• Coordinate with express technicians to monitor progress and manage queue flow.
• Set realistic time expectations and proactively communicate delays.
• Process payments accurately and ensure guests understand the work performed.
• Maintain records in the DMS and uphold documentation standards for express orders.
