Carter Machinery Co. Inc. is hiring an Express Lube Technician in Richmond, VA.

The starting compensation range is $30.45 to $38.28 per hour, plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus ($2,500 at hire and $2,500 after 90 days). You will lubricate machinery, inspect fluid levels, replace filters, and advise customers on future services. Requirements include at least 2 years in a shop setting, a high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain CDL/DOT certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a shop service environment.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license is required; ability to obtain CDL or DOT certification.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform duties at customer job sites with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency with computer and service software; ability to complete service reports.

Responsibilities

• Lubricate moving parts of machinery with specified lubricants.
• Inspect fluid levels in engine, hydraulics, transmission, and other compartments.
• Inject grease using hand or air-powered grease gun.
• Drain and refill oil; replace oil and air filters.
• Collect oil samples for testing; monitor inventories and recommend future services.
