Job summary

Carter Machinery Co. Inc. is hiring an Express Lube Technician to perform lubrication, inspection, and routine maintenance on a variety of machinery at customer sites and in-shop settings. You will handle oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements and assist with service recommendations.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, a valid license, and the ability to obtain CDL/DOT certification. Competitive pay, benefits, and overtime opportunities are included.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a shop service environment.
• High school diploma or GED, required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must have an excellent driving record and the ability to obtain a CDL or DOT certification.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Capable of operating a boom truck or equivalent.
• Overhead and field service cranes proficiency.
• Ability to operate various equipment in the field and on customer sites.
• Proficiency with computer, Microsoft Office and service software.
• Ability to complete service reports and provide details for work orders.
• Willingness to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Lubricate moving parts of machinery with specified lubricants.
• Inspect fluid levels in engine, hydraulics, transmission, etc.
• Inject grease into units using grease gun.
• Drain oil and refill as needed.
• Collect oil samples for testing.
• Replace oil and air filters.
• Recommend services to customers during inspections.
• Monitor inventories of oil, filters, and parts.
• Inform customers of upcoming service dates and recommend future work.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
