Carter Machinery in Richmond, Virginia is hiring an Express Lube Technician for the 2nd shift. Starting pay ranges from $20.83 to $38.28 per hour plus shift differential, with a $2,000 sign-on bonus for new hires.

You will lubricate, inspect, and service machinery at customer sites while maintaining safety and quality standards. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 21+ years old, and strong mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to work at customer sites with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency with computers and basic software.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lubricate moving parts using specified lubricants.
• Inspect and top off fluid levels and fuels as required.
• Inject grease using hand or pneumatic tools.
• Record samples and submit to fluid lab for analysis.
• Inspect air filters and replace when needed.
• Monitor machine utilization and recommend service needs.
• Complete inspections and detailed reports.
• Inform customers about upcoming service and future needs.
• Coordinate with team to meet improvement goals.
