Job summary

Carter Machinery Co. Inc. in Richmond, VA is seeking an Express Lube Technician for the 2nd shift (entry level). Starting compensation range is $20.83 - $38.28 per hour plus shift differential, on-site, full-time.

You will lubricate moving parts, inspect fluids, top off levels, inject grease, monitor machine utilization, and perform inspections for service readiness, working closely with a team to meet continuous improvement goals.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain CDL/DOT certification.

Responsibilities

• Lubricate moving parts of machinery with specified lubricants.
• Inspect fluid levels for engine, hydraulics, transmission, and top off as needed.
• Inject grease into units using hand or air-powered grease gun.
• Sample fluid compartments and submit to fluid lab for analysis.
• Inspect and replace air filters as necessary.
• Fuel machines to appropriate levels.
• Monitor Vision Link to identify machine utilization and service needs.
• Inspect machines and submit detailed inspections through CAT Inspect.
• Inform customer of upcoming service due dates and recommendations.
• Collaborate with team to achieve Continuous Improvement goals.
• Perform other related duties as agreed with customer.
