Job summary

Carter Machinery Co. Inc. is seeking an Express Lube Technician in Fredericksburg, Virginia for the 2nd shift. Starting pay ranges from $34.97 to $43.96 per hour plus shift differential, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for new hires.

Responsibilities include lubricating machinery, inspecting fluid levels, replacing filters, sampling oils, and advising customers on needed services. Candidates should have at least 2 years in a shop setting and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a shop service environment.
• High school diploma or GED, required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain CDL or DOT certification.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lubricate moving parts of machinery with specified lubricants.
• Inspect fluid levels in engine, hydraulics, transmission, etc.
• Inject grease into units using grease gun.
• Drain oil and refill with required amount.
• Collect oil samples for testing and replace filters.
• Recommend additional services during inspections.
• Monitor inventories of oil, filters, etc.
• Inform customers of upcoming service dates and future needs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
