Carter Machinery Company, Inc. is hiring an Express Lube Technician for the 2nd shift. Starting pay ranges from $26.88 to $33.79 per hour plus shift differential, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus. The role includes lubrication, inspections, and customer service at various sites, with overtime potential.

Candidates need at least 2 years in a shop setting, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license. CDL/DOT may be required in some cases.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a shop service environment.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain CDL or DOT certification.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and customer-site readiness.
• Experience operating heavy hardware (boom trucks, cranes).
• Ability to use service software and basic MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lubricate moving parts of machinery with specified lubricants.
• Inspect fluid levels in engine, hydraulics, transmission, etc.
• Inject grease using hand or air-powered gun.
• Drain and refill oil as required.
• Collect oil samples for testing.
• Replace oil and air filters.
• Recommend additional services during inspections.
• Monitor inventories of oil, filters, and supplies.
• Inform customers about upcoming service needs.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
