Chapman Chevrolet in Tempe, AZ is seeking an Express Department Lead to supervise our quick-service lane. This hands-on role focuses on leading and developing Express Lane staff, directing daily workflow, and ensuring quality and safety standards.

You will monitor performance, coordinate inspections and documentation, resolve customer concerns, and drive improvements to overall department performance in a fast-paced automotive service environment.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a fast-paced retail, automotive, or service environment.
• Automotive service experience or knowledge preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Ability to make quick decisions, adapt to changing priorities, and resolve operational challenges.
• Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and drive improvements.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hands-on environment with energy and accountability.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; background check may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, coach, and supervise Express Lane employees to maximize productivity and department standards.
• Direct daily workflow, set the pace for production, and address obstacles quickly.
• Monitor employee performance, provide feedback, and maintain training and records.
• Ensure inspections, MPVIs, and service documentation are completed properly.
• Resolve customer concerns promptly while maintaining satisfaction.
• Inspect completed work for quality and compliance with standards.
• Monitor inventory and equipment; communicate priorities to the Service Director.
• Review department performance, prepare reports, and implement improvement plans.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, and customer service.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment with compliance to policies.
