Job summary

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company USA Inc. is seeking a customer service professional to provide comprehensive support for shipments, addressing inquiries and ensuring high-quality service. You will work with clients, carriers, and internal teams to coordinate bookings and export activities.

The role requires on-site presence five days a week in Charleston, with emphasis on accurate records, problem solving, and strong client relationships in an international environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent in supply chain, transportation, shipping, logistics, freight forwarding or customer service.
• Experience in an international environment is a plus.
• Ability to develop and maintain positive client and vendor relationships.
• Must demonstrate attention to detail and strong communication.
• Proactive, reliable and well organized with time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients by addressing inquiries and concerns about shipments while delivering exceptional service.
• Coordinate with team and departments to optimize task execution and meet deadlines.
• Escalate complex issues to the supervisor for resolution.
• Manage bookings in the internal system based on client requirements and coordinate export shipments.
• Maintain communication with carriers and agencies for updates on shipment status.
• Update records for reporting and support management decision-making.
• On-site presence five days a week and perform other duties as assigned.
