Job summary

Day & Zimmermann in Parsons, Kansas is seeking a full-time Explosives Operator to operate and monitor explosive melt systems and associated equipment for melts using kettles of 5, 50, and 250 gallons. You will ensure materials are ready for each pour and follow approved SOPs, while coordinating system checks across multiple floors.

Ideal candidates have safety awareness, basic math skills, and at least 6 months of production equipment experience.

We’re looking for afull-time, Explosives Operator to join our Day & Zimmermann team located in Parsons, Kansas.

As the Explosives Operator, here’s the work you’ll do:
  • Operates a computer intecont, a loss-in-weight feeder and thermocouple thermometer for melts using kettles (5 gal., 50 gal., and 250 gal.)
  • Activates and monitors systems associated with Explosive Melt System for all types of explosives. Ensures there are explosives ready for each pour at the start and end of each day.
  • Complies with operation-approved standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinates pre and post system checks and cleans up as required on all floors.
