Day & Zimmermann in Parsons, Kansas is seeking a full-time Explosives Operator. You will operate melts and related equipment, monitor the Explosive Melt System, ensure explosives are ready for pours, and follow SOPs while maintaining safety and accuracy in a facility that supports national defense programs.

The position pays $23.58 per hour and requires at least 6 months of production equipment experience, with forklift license preferred. Competitive benefits provided.

We're looking for a full-time, Explosives Operator to join our Day & Zimmermann team located in Parsons, Kansas.

As the Explosives Operator, here’s the work you’ll do:

• Operates a computer intecont, a loss-in-weight feeder and thermocouple thermometer for melts using kettles (5 gal., 50 gal., and 250 gal.)
• Activates and monitors systems associated with Explosive Melt System for all types of explosives. Ensures there are explosives ready for each pour at the start and end of each day.
• Complies with operation-approved standard operating procedures.
• Coordinates pre and post system checks and cleans up as required on all floors.
