Stony Brook University’s Division of Student Affairs seeks a Senior Career Planning and Development Associate to manage the VIP program in collaboration with the College of Engineering & Applied Sciences. You will recruit participants, coordinate with faculty and industry partners, and promote experiential learning opportunities.

The role requires a growth mindset, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and three years of full-time administrative experience.
Experience with computer applications and/or using databases or spreadsheets to track information and/or develop reports.

Responsibilities

Manage operation of the VIP program, coordinating with faculty and students to promote projects and recruit participants.
Establish and service relationships between VIP teams and community/industry partners; liaise with Faculty Project Director.
Provide individual and group career coaching for undergraduate and graduate students via F2F and virtual formats and design career readiness programs.
Gather and monitor data for experiences and post-graduate outcomes and develop reports as directed.
Contribute to the Division of Student Affairs and CEAS through events, training, and committee involvement.
Evening and weekend work may be required at times.
