Job summary

Sun Outdoors seeks an Activities Coordinator to plan, organize, and run engaging events for guests and residents at our resorts and communities. You will lead teams, manage calendars, and ensure a high standard of activities within budget while promoting a fun, welcoming atmosphere.

Responsibilities include event setup, vendor coordination, newsletter preparation, and fundraising support, with dailyPay and comprehensive benefits for team members.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Required).
• Ability to work well independently as well as on a team.
• Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to negotiate prices/contracts on behalf of the resort.
• Strong organization skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Create, plan, coordinate, and attend activities (picnics, sports, dances, dinners).
• Set up and clean up after events.
• Provide leadership, motivation, and training to team members.
• Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests.
• Maintain attendance and expense tracking for activities.
• Ensure timely payment of invoices and proper documentation.
• Produce a calendar of events for the next season within budget.
• Purchase supplies to carry out activities and events.
• Assist with weekly newsletters for residents and guests.
• Organize fundraising activities for the department.
• Maintain inventory of office and activity supplies and equipment.
