Premier Business Technologies is seeking an experienced Hosted VoIP / PBX Technician who can install, configure, troubleshoot, and support business telephone systems. The role mixes onsite customer installations with remote hosted PBX administration and ongoing support.

The ideal candidate will understand both business telephone systems and the networking infrastructure needed for reliable operation, with strong customer service and travel readiness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on hosted VoIP or business telephone system experience.
• Proven ability to independently install business telephone systems.
• Experience remotely administering hosted PBX systems.
• Strong understanding of SIP, TCP/IP networking, and VoIP troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure hosted VoIP systems at customer locations.
• Provision IP phones, extensions, voicemail, auto attendants, ring groups, and call queues.
• Administer hosted PBX platforms remotely, including changes and troubleshooting.
• Diagnose call-quality issues and SIP registration failures.
• Configure routers, switches, firewalls, VLANs, DHCP, NAT, and QoS.
• Coordinate number porting, carrier activations, and migrations.
• Support multiple IP phone models (Yealink, Poly, Grandstream).
• Perform onsite installations, training, and remote support.

Employment: Full-Time

Compensation: $30–$38 per hour, based on experience

About the Position

Premier Business Technologies is seeking an experienced Hosted VoIP / PBX Technician capable of independently installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting business telephone systems.

This position combines onsite customer installations with remote hosted PBX administration and technical support.

We are looking for someone who understands both business telephone systems and the networking infrastructure required to keep them functioning reliably.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and configure hosted VoIP business phone systems at customer locations.
• Provision and configure IP phones, extensions, voicemail, auto attendants, ring groups, and call queues.
• Administer hosted PBX platforms remotely, including customer changes, troubleshooting, and ongoing support.
• Diagnose and resolve call-quality problems, dropped calls, one-way audio, SIP registration failures, and call-routing issues.
• Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, VLANs, DHCP, NAT, and QoS.
• Coordinate telephone number porting, carrier activations, and system migrations.
• Support Yealink, Poly, Grandstream, and similar IP phone equipment.
• Troubleshoot business internet connections affecting hosted phone services.
• Perform onsite installations, customer training, and remote technical support.
• Maintain accurate service records and installation documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on hosted VoIP or business telephone system experience preferred.
• Proven ability to independently complete business telephone installations.
• Experience remotely administering hosted PBX systems.
• Strong understanding of SIP, TCP/IP networking, and VoIP troubleshooting.
• Experience configuring business networking equipment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer locations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with hosted PBX platforms such as 3CX, RingCentral, Yeastar, or similar systems.
• Experience with structured cabling and network installations.
• Experience supporting multiple business customers simultaneously.
• Relevant networking or telecommunications certifications.
