Job summary

ParaTech is expanding its Telephony team in the greater New Orleans area and seeks a Telephony/VoIP Specialist who can manage hosted and on-premises systems, perform installations, and solve issues from first call to final handset.

This hybrid role combines remote support with on-site service calls across NOLA and nearby markets, requiring strong SIP, QoS and networking knowledge. ParaTech offers medical, 401(k) matching, and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of business telephony / VoIP support experience.
• Hands-on experience with SkySwitch and/or OIT hosted platforms strongly preferred.
• Hand-on experience with MS Teams Integration a plus.
• Experience supporting on-premises PBX systems.
• Solid understanding of SIP, RTP, and basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, QoS).
• Experience provisioning and troubleshooting IP phones.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and a strong customer-service focus.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Relevant certifications (vendor phone system certifications, CompTIA Network+, etc.) a plus

Responsibilities

• Administer and support hosted VoIP platforms, including SkySwitch and OIT
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot on-premises phone systems
• Build and modify call flows, auto attendants, hunt groups, call queues, voicemail, and time-of-day routing
• Provision and deploy IP desk phones, softphones, and mobile apps
• Troubleshoot call quality issues such as one-way audio, dropped calls, jitter, and latency
• Configure network settings that affect voice, including QoS, voice VLANs, and firewall and SIP settings
• Manage number porting, SIP trunks, e911 setup, and carrier coordination
• Perform on-site visits for system cutovers, new installs, and service calls
• Document work in the ticketing system and follow escalation procedures when needed
• Serve as a trusted point of contact, delivering excellent customer service both remotely and on-site

We are expanding our Telephony team and looking for a talented VoIP professional who is passionate about technology, problem-solving, and delivering excellent customer support.

_ ** ParaTech**_ , a well-established leader in technology-based services and one of the largest technology firms in the area, has an immediate opening for a Telephony/VoIP Specialist in the greater New Orleans market. We are currently at a 28 person headcount across the NOLA and Dallas offices.

We’re looking for a voice specialist in the NOLA market who can support both hosted and on-premises phone systems for our business clients. This hybrid role combines remote support and administration with hands-on installs and service calls in the field. It’s ideal for someone who knows phones inside and out and enjoys owning a system from the first call flow to the last handset. Ready for an immediate hire!
