Job summary

Premier Business Technologies (PBTechs) seeks an experienced Hosted VoIP Technician to install, configure, and support business telephone systems for local clients. You will work on-site and remotely, handling phone provisioning, PBX features, and network troubleshooting.

Ideal candidates have hands-on hosted VoIP experience, SIP knowledge, and strong customer-service skills. Travel to customer locations is required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on hosted VoIP or business telephone system experience preferred.
• Experience configuring and supporting hosted PBX platforms.
• Strong understanding of SIP-based telephony and IP networking.
• Experience provisioning IP phones and troubleshooting VoIP connectivity.
• Ability to diagnose network-related voice quality and call-routing issues.
• Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and business internet connectivity.
• Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and travel to customer locations.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot hosted VoIP business telephone systems.
• Provision and configure IP desk phones, cordless phones, and related devices.
• Set up extensions, ring groups, call queues, auto attendants, voicemail, and call forwarding.
• Configure and troubleshoot hosted PBX features and administrative portals.
• Diagnose call-quality issues, dropped calls, one-way audio, registration failures, and connectivity problems.
• Troubleshoot SIP, NAT, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, QoS, and other network-related VoIP issues.
• Configure business routers, switches, and network connections as needed.
• Support telephone number porting, service activations, and carrier coordination.
• Perform onsite customer installations, system migrations, and user training.
• Work with internet service providers and VoIP carriers to resolve service problems.
• Document installations, configurations, service tickets, and customer support activities.
• Provide remote and onsite technical assistance to business customers.

We are seeking an experienced Hosted VoIP / Business Phone Systems Technician who can independently install, configure, troubleshoot, and support business telephone systems.

• Familiarity with structured cabling, Ethernet wiring, and network testing.
• Experience coordinating with Comcast, Verizon, or other business internet providers.
• Experience with number porting, SIP trunks, and business telephone migrations.
