Job summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop is seeking an Assistant Workshop Manager to support the store manager with daily operations and to lead a team focused on delivering an exceptional Guest experience. You will assist in staffing, scheduling, cash controls, and adherence to brand standards while driving sales and ensuring a positive workplace environment.

You will mentor Bear Builders, manage shifts, and uphold safety, accuracy, and customer service excellence across all daily activities in a busy retail

Qualifications

• 2 years of store management experience in a customer-centric retail environment.
• High school diploma required.
• Basic understanding of store technology solutions (POS, scheduling, HRIS, time and attendance).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Workshop Manager in assigning daily tasks and directing work for associates.
• Assist in hiring decisions and provide feedback on candidate selection and promotions.
• Lead and inspire the team during shifts, enforce company policies, and communicate disciplinary actions as needed.
• Drive sales by coaching team members, creating a strong Guest experience, and meeting targets.
• Ensure merchandising displays align with brand standards and create an inviting store environment.
• Oversee inventory processes including receiving, stocking, and counts.
• Develop a high-performing team delivering exceptional Guest experiences.
