Job summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop is seeking an Assistant Workshop Manager to support the store manager in daily operations, sales execution, and staff management. You will lead shifts, coach a team of Bear Builders, and ensure exceptional Guest experiences while upholding brand standards.

You will assist in hiring decisions, manage break schedules, and help drive the store toward its financial objectives, collaborating with the management team to maintain a safe, engaging retail environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of store management experience, with a proven, successful history in a customer-centric business, preferably in specialty retail.
• High school diploma
• Basic understanding in the use of common store technology solutions (POS, scheduling, HRIS, time and attendance)

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Workshop Manager in daily assignments and directing work.
• Assist in hiring and promotion decisions with feedback.
• Lead and inspire the team during shifts, enforce policies and handle disciplinary actions.
• Drive sales as Floor Leader, coach Bear Builders, create guest experience.
• Ensure merchandising displays adhere to brand standards.
• Oversee inventory management and stock counts.
• Develop a high-performing team delivering guest experiences.
