Job summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop is seeking an Assistant Workshop Manager to support the store manager in daily operations, guest service excellence, staff management, and execution of sales and marketing initiatives. You will lead shifts, coach Bear Builders, and ensure adherence to brand standards while driving a positive guest experience.

The role requires 2 years of store management experience, a high school diploma, and familiarity with POS, scheduling, and HRIS tools.

Qualifications

• Two years of store management experience in a customer-centric setting.
• High school diploma required; associate's degree preferred.
• Basic understanding of POS, scheduling, HRIS and time/attendance systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the store manager in daily operations and guest service.
• Assist in staff management, scheduling, and break coverage.
• Lead shifts, coach team, and enforce policies and safety.
• Drive sales through guest experience and floor leadership.
• Oversee merchandising, inventory, and loss prevention basics.
• Develop a high-performing team delivering exceptional guest service.
