Job summary

PetSmart is seeking an Assistant Store Manager Customer Experience to lead store operations and drive outstanding pet parent experiences. You will coach and develop team members, oversee daily tasks, and ensure store standards, safety, and service quality.

In this full-time role based in Pinole, CA, you will partner with leadership to meet sales targets, manage schedules, and respond to customer needs with empathy.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of retail leadership or experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Full time availability required, flexibility in schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Proficiency in computer applications and strong written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the associate experience and guide daily store operations.
• Drive the customer/pet parent experience across in-person and phone interactions.
• Oversee staffing, training, coaching, and performance conversations.
• Ensure store standards, safety, and policy compliance are maintained.
• Partner with leadership to execute store events and promotional activities.
