Job summary

PetSmart is seeking an Assistant Store Manager – Customer Experience to lead the store team, drive the pet parent experience, and uphold our values while achieving targeted results. You will supervise daily tasks, coach associates, manage scheduling, and ensure safety for pets and customers across store operations, events, and service delivery.

Full-time role with evenings, weekends and holidays as needed; strong communication, organizational skills, and proficiency with computer applications

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of retail leadership or experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Full-time availability; flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Proficiency in computer applications; strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Leads the associate experience and supervises staffing decisions (recruiting, interviewing, coaching).
• Directs daily tasks, ensures safety and health of pets and customers, and maintains store standards.
• Oversees pet-parent experiences in person and via phone or online; drives service quality.
• Manages store operations, events, scheduling, and adherence to policies.
