Job summary

PRA Events, Inc. is seeking an Experience Designer in Hawaii to lead costing for client programs and source pricing from suppliers. You will collaborate with Sales, Creative, Operations, and partners to deliver costed, executable solutions aligned with client budgets.

The role requires meticulous financial discipline, attention to detail, and independent ownership from proposal through handoff. Expect in-person site inspections and client meetings.

Qualifications

• Experience in event management, destination management, corporate meetings and events, incentive travel, hospitality, or a related industry required.
• Experience developing event budgets, detailed costing, and supplier pricing.
• Strong attention to detail with demonstrated accuracy in costing, quantities, pricing, and program documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build productive relationships with clients, supplier partners, and internal teams.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to independently manage multiple programs, shifting priorities, and competing deadlines.
• Ability to effectively balance creative thinking with financial, logistical, and operational considerations.
• Demonstrated resourcefulness and ability to research and develop new venues, suppliers, products, and solutions.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned responsibilities, and proactively identify when support or escalation is needed.
• Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team environment.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as business needs dictate.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop complete and accurate program costing for assigned opportunities with detailed line-items, quantities, costs, and pricing.
• Own the costing process from initial supplier outreach through final proposal review, ensuring information is accurate and current.
• Obtain, review, and validate supplier pricing, proposals, fees, minimums, quantities, and applicable charges.
• Accurately calculate quantities and costs based on guest counts, program specifications, and supplier parameters.
• Review costing for completeness, identifying missing elements, inconsistencies, or duplicate charges before submission.
• Manage complex quoting and budget development with opportunities for cost efficiencies and value enhancements.
• Ensure costing notes, assumptions, supplier information, and documentation are organized for review and handoff.
