Motorola Solutions is seeking an experienced sales professional for an expatriate assignment located in Japan. The role requires relocation for a minimum of 3 years and targets selling communications systems to US DoD accounts in the Eastern US region.

You will coordinate internal and external resources and develop strategic account plans to close major deals. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or 8+ years in related fields, with strong communication skills and a proven track record.

Job Description

**THIS IS AN EXPATRIATE ROLE LOCATED IN JAPAN. THIS ASSIGNMENT WILL REQUIRE THE CANDIDATE TO RELOCATE FOR A MINIMUM OF 3 YEARS.**

Responsibilities:

• Direct sales of communications systems to U.S. Federal Government DoD accounts in Eastern US region
• Identifies diverse customer needs, and understand how our product portfolio can be applied to satisfy these needs
• Build strong relationships and customer knowledge by understanding the Motorola Solutions business model
• Using the vision, strategy, and tools available, the candidate will become a trusted adviser to the customer and partners
• Candidates will learn, develop, and be capable of clearly articulating account specific strategies for all Motorola solutions
• Develop and enhance strong customer relationships across multiple levels and functions
• Orchestrate and lead the extended Motorola team to understand the account’s strategy, business imperatives, and top opportunities
• Allocate appropriate resources, and obtain full collaboration of internal product groups and external partners as necessary to meet the needs of key accounts

Qualifications :

• Bachelors Degree with 4+ years of sales, customer success, public safety and/or military experience
• OR 8+ years of sales, customer success, public safety and/or military experience
• A technical background to include RF communications, First Responder software application platforms (CAD, RMS, E911, Video) strongly desired
• Prior experience in technical roles selling into or working for the various Department of Defense Services and or Federal Law Enforcement Agencies
• Excellent communication, sales, and writing skills are required
• Must have a demonstrated track record of closing major sales
• An understanding of the proposal process with proposal assembly experience preferred
• Working knowledge of IP networking, Information Assurance and or Cyber Security a plus
• Must be a self-motivated problem solver
• An ideal candidate will be able to help customers envision solutions, services, and applications
• Solid working knowledge of Salesforce.com, Google Productivity Suite is strongly desired
• Development and execution of sales and go-to-market strategies in a highly collaborative environment is imperative
• Must be self-reliant and able to work effectively from a remote office
• Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract.

Travel:

• Must be able and willing to travel 50% - 75% within territory

Target Base Salary Range: $90,000 - $95,000 USD

On Target Earnings: $148,500 - $156,750 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
