Job summary

Aspen Dental is hiring an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant in Oregon. You will perform chairside duties, assist doctors, sterilize equipment, and manage patient flow while staying compliant with OSHA and HIPAA guidelines.

The role requires an active Dental Assistant license/registration, radiology certification, CPR/BLS, and 2+ years of experience. Expect a supportive culture with strong training and benefits.

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant license/registration as required by state
• Radiology (x-ray) certification as required by state
• CPR or BLS certification
• 2+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant
• Proficient at chairside assisting/four-handed dentistry
• Demonstrate sterilization and infection control techniques
• Maintain annual CE requirement as specified by state
• State certification in expanded functions as required by state

Responsibilities

• Assist with directing the DA office team to maintain productive patient flow
• Assist doctors during various treatment procedures
• Break down operatory rooms for doctors and hygienists
• Complete sterilization processes for equipment and operatory
• Follow maintenance schedules for waterlines, autoclave and compressor
• Prepare trays and operatory sets for procedures
• Support patient charting for doctors
• Train others to hand off patients and monitor flow
• Follow OSHA and HIPAA requirements
• Take dental radiographs and educate patients on oral care
• Perform denture relines and temporary crowns as needed
• Monitor laboratory cases and intraoral health scans
• Order and maintain supplies within budget
• Perform other office tasks as necessary
