Job summary

Aspen Dental in Colorado is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to support doctors, manage operatory setup, and maintain smooth patient flow throughout the day.

You will perform radiographs, sterilization, charting, and patient education, while following OSHA and HIPAA guidelines. The role requires state certification in expanded functions and 2+ years’ experience in a busy practice.

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant License, Registration, Certification as required by state.
• Radiology (x-ray) certification as required by state.
• Current CPR or BLS certificate.
• 2+ years' experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Proficient at chairside assisting/four-handed dentistry.
• Demonstrate and provide instruction on proper sterilization and infection control techniques.
• Maintain and update annual CE requirement as specified by state.
• State Certification in expanded functions as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors during treatment procedures and manage operatory setup.
• Perform sterilization and infection control, maintain supplies.
• Take dental radiographs and educate patients on oral hygiene.
• Complete denture relines and temporary crowns.
• Monitor and aid in management of laboratory cases.
• Support patient charting and monitor patient flow within the practice.
