Job summary

Aspen Dental is hiring an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to support daily operations, patient flow, and treatment procedures. The role emphasizes radiographic skills, chairside assistance, sterilization, and quality patient care in a busy dental practice.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Dental Assistant license/registration/certification as required by state.
• Radiology (x-ray) certification as required by state.
• CPR or BLS certificate current.
• At least 2 years’ experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Proficient chairside assisting/four-handed dentistry.
• Ability to train others on sterilization and infection control.
• Maintain annual CE requirements as specified by state.
• State certification in expanded functions as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist directing the DA office team to maintain productive patient flow.
• Assist doctors during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Breakdown operatory rooms for doctors and hygienists.
• Complete sterilization processes for equipment and operatory; ensure staff trained.
• Follow maintenance schedules for waterlines, autoclave, and compressor.
• Tray and operatory setup for all procedures.
• Support patient charting for doctors.
• Train others to execute patient handoffs and monitor patient flow.
• Take dental radiographs and educate patients on oral hygiene.
• Maintain supplies and assist as needed across the practice.
