Job summary

Serco is seeking an Operations Vice President of Defense Programs in Washington, DC. This executive role oversees a portfolio exceeding $150M in annual revenue and a global workforce of ~400, driving strategic direction, operational excellence, and growth with DoW and Navy programs.

The role requires an active DoW Secret clearance, US citizenship, and a strong track record in leading complex defense operations, organizational change, and customer relationships. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. DoW Secret security clearance required.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Master's degree or Bachelor’s with additional experience specified.
• 12+ years of progressively responsible leadership in DoD programs.
• Proven ability to lead large, complex organizations and deliver results.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic growth and operational performance of a DoW portfolio exceeding $150M in revenue.
• Provide executive direction for multiple Navy Acquisition, Modernization, and In-Service Maintenance programs.
• Develop and execute workforce, talent, and succession strategies.
• Manage portfolio financial performance including forecasting and cost management.
• Drive development of technology-enabled solutions addressing customer requirements.
• Maintain senior government stakeholder relationships and identify growth opportunities.
• Lead business development, pipeline expansion, and capture activities.
• Ensure risk management and adherence to high standards of performance and quality.
