Job summary

Serco is seeking an Operations Vice President of Defense Programs in Washington, D.C. to lead a multi-national DoW portfolio exceeding $150M in annual revenue and a workforce of about 400.

This executive role drives strategy, operational performance, and growth across Navy Acquisition programs and related contracts. You will shape high-impact initiatives, manage financial performance, and foster customer relationships with senior government and industry partners, while guiding talent development

Qualifications

• Active DoW Secret security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Master's degree in a relevant field; or Bachelor's plus 5 years' experience.
• 12 years of progressively responsible leadership in DoW programs.
• Experience leading large, complex organizations with P&L accountability.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic growth and operational performance of a DoW portfolio with annual revenue over $150M and ~400 employees worldwide.
• Provide executive leadership to Directors responsible for Navy Acquisition programs and contracts.
• Establish and execute business strategies, objectives, and priorities that support growth and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accountability for portfolio financial performance, including revenue, profitability, forecasting, and cost management.
• Drive development of technology-enabled solutions addressing customer requirements across diverse mission areas.
• Serve as executive liaison with senior government stakeholders, industry partners, and Serco leadership to identify growth opportunities.
• Spearhead business development, pipeline expansion, capture support, and organic growth across the Department of War market.
• Develop and execute workforce, talent, and succession strategies for organizational effectiveness.
• Lead organizational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure management of operational, financial, contractual, and programmatic risks while upholding standards.
• Partner with executive leadership to align with Serco's vision and goals.
