Job summary

Encore Boston Harbor is seeking a seasoned kitchen leader to oversee daily operations in a high-volume, upscale dining environment. You will manage costs, drive quality, and lead a team of cooks and supervisors to meet service standards.

Responsibilities include implementing policies, budgeting, staff development, safety, and coordinating with other departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a luxury resort setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Culinary arts or related field education or experience preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of full service kitchen experience, 4 years in a leadership role.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with planning and project management.
• Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills.
• Knowledge of union and non-union working environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures Encore Boston Harbor core values and department standards are implemented and applied.
• Implements short- and long-term departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
• Oversees the performance of team members under area of responsibility.
• Monitors all activities to enforce internal policies and applicable laws.
• Administers departmental budget and financial controls; responsible for forecasting, labor, and payroll.
• Ensures department delivers maximum property-wide service and guest satisfaction.
• Facilitates communication across the property through regular meetings.
• Oversees hiring, performance management, and staff engagement; provides training and feedback.
