Executive Solutions Architect — Payments & Strategy

Job summary

Stripe, Inc. is seeking a Solutions Architect to build highly consultative relationships with senior executives and technical decision makers, delivering business and technical thought leadership.

You will architect business models to unlock monetization opportunities and growth for both customers and Stripe. You will work across Stripe’s Payments, Billing, Connect, and Link ecosystems, crafting scalable solutions, demos, and proof points.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a similar customer-facing engineering role (solutions architect, sales engineer, etc.) in fin‑tech/payment tech or 3+ years total experience
• Presenting and architecting solutions for complex customers
• Deep understanding or background in writing code in at least 2 of Stripe’s primary deployment languages (Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Java, Go)
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills, able to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
• Able and willing to learn Stripe solutions (Payments, Billing, Connect, etc.)
• Ability to understand how a wide variety of technologies and systems interact (ERP, CRM, Billing, Tax, Legacy)
• Executive engagement skills and presence with the ability to build credibility with decision makers
• Strong organizational/time management skills and the ability to juggle priorities while engaging multiple opportunities
• Strong collaboration with GTM team to support users
• Experience solving open-ended business problems with technology and creative thinking
• Ability to travel per business needs

Responsibilities

• Drive thought leadership and build executive relationships with key business and technical stakeholders including CIO, CTO, COO, CRO, CDO and Head of Payments
• Understand the customer’s business objectives and apply Stripe solutions to challenges
• Secure technical wins by delivering demos, responding to RFPs, and aligning narratives with customer goals
• Create scalable processes and assets (webinars, templates, playbooks) to multiplier impact in the sales process
• Expand Stripe footprint within existing accounts to new global markets and business units
• Collaborate with go-to-market, product and marketing to deliver impactful EBC briefings for SMB accounts
• Act as voice of the customer to inform product teams on insights and trends
• Collaborate with professional services and partners to accelerate activations
• Work with partners to help Stripe scale and reach Total Addressable Market
• Approximately 25% travel to connect in-person with users and teams
