Amex GBT in the United States seeks a Senior Event Manager to plan and deliver the most complex programs for a dedicated Experience Studio client, including multiday executive events with 500+ attendees and budgets above $1 million. You’ll co-lead with a producer, manage budgets, and coach a team of event managers.

You will oversee suppliers, registrations, on-site logistics, and post-program debriefs, while ensuring timelines, costs, and quality meet client expectations and company standards.

Formación

• Seven or more years planning corporate meetings, events, and incentives with full responsibility for programs.
• Manage programs with budgets above $1 million and provide accurate forecasts and reconciliations.
• Experience leading multiday executive programs for large audiences, including onsite teams.
• Act as planning lead beside a producer, delineating decisions and timelines.
• Strong contract skills with hotels and suppliers, including terms and costs.
• Proficient in Cvent and enterprise project tools within a client-owned environment.
• Ability to manage multiple programs at different stages and communicate risks early.
• Comfort presenting to senior audiences and coaching less experienced planners.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and deliver complex programs from kickoff to onsite execution for 500+ attendees.
• Partner with the producer to translate briefs into executable plans and manage costs.
• Build and manage program budgets from initial estimates to final reconciliation.
• Create and maintain the detailed planning calendar and enforce dates with teams.
• Oversee day-to-day supplier management from contracts to final invoices.
• Coordinate registration, housing, and attendee communications in Cvent.
• Run onsite logistics including staffing, room sets, and VIP movements.
• Mentor Event Managers, review plans and budgets, and cover peaks as needed.
• Maintain complete planning files for seamless transition to another manager.
• Raise scope, budget, and resource risks with recommendations.
