Job summary

Accenture Construct is seeking an accomplished Program Manager to lead large-scale rail and transit infrastructure programs in the NYC metro area. You will manage all project phases from pre-construction through handover, coordinating design-build and CM/GC delivery with diverse stakeholders.

You will direct multidisciplinary teams, maintain schedule and budget, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and report to executive leadership with clear briefings and board-level updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of progressively responsible experience delivering major rail and transit infrastructure projects in a large urban area.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required; New York preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and overall management of all project phases (pre-construction through handover).
• Oversee multiple design-build/CM delivery contracts, aligning scope, schedule and budget.
• Serve as primary liaison with client executives, project controls, legal, and regulators.
• Lead contract administration including change management, risk, and compliance with contract requirements.
• Establish and enforce project governance, reporting structures, and performance metrics.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams across construction management, design, QA, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Coordinate permitting, utility relocations, traffic control, and community impacts.
• Oversee project controls systems (cost, schedule, risk) and proactive issue mitigation.
• Lead executive reporting and presentations to boards and stakeholders.
• Foster a collaborative, solutions-oriented environment to maintain momentum.
• Flexible work location with a mix of remote, client site, or Accenture office.
