Job summary

Accenture Construct is seeking a Deputy Construction Manager to support the Construction Manager in overseeing day-to-day activities on complex transportation and capital infrastructure projects across the Mid-Atlantic.

You will coordinate design reviews, prepare budgets and schedules, review subconsultants, administer contracts, and report progress to clients and leaders. Onsite work with clients and partners is expected, with some in-person collaboration to build relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of verified program planning, design management, and construction oversight in transit infrastructure.
• 5+ years in Deputy CM/CM/Owner’s Representative roles coordinating complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day construction activities across transportation and capital infrastructure projects in the Mid-Atlantic.
• Coordinate design reviews, plan approvals, and constructability reviews; identify problems and escalate as needed.
• Prepare authorization documents and project correspondence for transit authority clients.
• Maintain project budgets, schedules, and progress reports in line with contract requirements.
• Review subconsultants and contractor work; recommend invoice payments.
• Administer construction contracts per transit agency standards, regulations and federal funding requirements.
• Track cost and schedule performance; flag variances and propose corrective actions.
• Prepare monthly project status reports for client and Accenture leadership.
• Coordinate RFIs and contractor submittals with design teams and agency staff.
• Conduct site visits and field inspections across the project corridor.
• Coordinate project close-out activities including punch lists and as-built docs.
• Evaluate scope changes and assist in change orders; support client approvals.
• Lead briefings and meetings with transit clients, officials, and community reps.
