Job summary

Outfield Healthcare Partners in Roswell, NM, is seeking a Dietary Services Manager to lead the nutrition program for residents, ensuring nutritionally appropriate meals and compliance with regulations. You will supervise the dietary department, manage budgets, coordinate with the registered dietitian and clinical staff, and ensure quality food service, safety standards, and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications include CDM/CFPP or DTR or equivalent, an associate degree in food service management

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or CFPP, or Dietetic Technician Registered (DTR), or military/training equivalent.
• Associate’s or higher degree in food service management or hospitality.
• Food service supervisory experience; 2 years in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of nutrition service in the dietary department.
• Provide leadership to meet food quality and safety standards.
• Provide nutrition care under supervision of RD and Administrator.
• Use forecasts, inventory, and records to plan purchases; coordinate with purchasing.
• Participate in department budgeting and monthly reporting.
• Communicate with RD, dietetic staff, nursing, residents and families.
• Document nutrition care in resident records as directed.
• Attend care conferences and develop baseline care plans with RD and Administrator.
• Ensure care plans reflect assessments and resident choices.
• Review dietary restrictions and weight trends; adjust as needed.
• Develop and utilize a referral system for the RD.
• Check progress toward nutrition goals and adjust plans.
• Visit residents regarding menus and dietary preferences.
• Maintain resident data in eKardex and related systems.
• Adapt diets to resident preferences and needs.
• Report weight changes and nutrition variances to the team.
• Share nutrition info via daily interdisciplinary reports.
• Other duties as assigned.
