Job summary

Outfield Healthcare Partners is seeking an experienced Dietary Manager to lead the dietary department, ensuring nutritionally appropriate meals and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

You will supervise daily nutrition service operations, collaborate with the Registered Dietitian and Administrator, and manage budgets and purchasing to meet resident needs and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• CDM, CFPP, or DTR certification or equivalent training.
• Associate’s or higher degree in food service management or hospitality.
• Two years’ supervisory experience in long term care preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of nutrition service within the dietary department, per policy and regs.
• Provide leadership to ensure food quality, safety standards and resident needs are met.
• Provide nutrition care within scope under the direction of the Registered Dietitian and Administrator.
• Plan purchases using forecasts, inventory, and equipment records; coordinate with purchasing.
• Participate in department budget planning and monthly reporting to the administrator.
• Communicate with the registered dietitian, nursing service, dietary personnel, residents, and families on nutrition care.
• Utilize company forms and guidelines for resident nutrition care and clinical practice guides.
• Contribute to nutrition assessment data collection and routine progress notes.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team care conferences and develop baseline care plans.
• Ensure care plan interventions are based on assessments and include amounts and frequencies.
• Review dietary restrictions and weight measurements for revisions; document in medical records.
• Develop and use referral system for the registered dietitian.
• Check residents’ progress toward nutrition goals and adjust plans as directed.
• Visit residents on admission and periodically regarding menus and dietary preferences.
• Update resident information in the company electronic system (eKardex).
• Adapt services to resident preferences and develop individualized diets when needed.
• Review weight records and communicate variances to the team.
• Document nutrition information in Daily Interdisciplinary Reports.
• Other duties may be assigned at any time.
