Job summary

Acadia Pharmaceuticals Inc. is seeking a Neuroscience Sales Specialist to drive sales in the assigned territory by building strong HCP relationships and delivering compliant product education.

You will develop a territory plan and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure patient access and optimal reimbursement. The role requires neuroscience expertise, field leadership, and the ability to travel up to 80% while residing within the territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, life sciences preferred.
• 3 years of sales experience, with at least 1 year in pharmaceutical/healthcare sales; neuroscience preferred.
• Executive level requires 12+ years of healthcare sales with complex or account-based selling experience.
• Advanced selling, leadership, and business acumen.
• Proven success influencing diverse HCP audiences across settings.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% and work independently.
• Must reside in territory or within 30 miles and hold a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Promote Acadia products to HCPs in person and virtually with clinical, disease state, and reimbursement info.
• Develop and execute a territory business plan to meet/exceed sales objectives.
• Build and maintain relationships with HCPs, KOLs, and advocacy groups.
• Address questions/objections using advanced dialogue and selling skills.
• Tailor approved sales aids and resources to customer needs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver coordinated solutions.
• Advise on pricing, reimbursement, and distribution channels; liaison for access issues.
• Track and report sales activities and expenses.
