Job summary

Acadia Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Neuroscience Sales Specialist to drive territory growth in Tennessee. You will promote products to healthcare professionals, deliver compliant product education, and build durable relationships to improve patient access.

The role requires deep neuroscience knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to navigate payer dynamics and complex accounts. Travel up to 80% is expected, with home-office flexibility within the territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; life sciences preferred.
• Sales Specialist: 1–2 years of pharma/healthcare sales; neuroscience preferred.
• Senior Specialist: 5+ years healthcare sales (2+ in complex/account-based selling).
• Executive Specialist: 12+ years healthcare sales (3+ in complex/account-based selling).
• Demonstrated advanced selling skills, leadership abilities, and business acumen.
• Proven success in influencing diverse HCP audiences across care settings.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently, adapt to change, and deliver consistently high results.
• Must reside within the territory (or within 30 miles of its border) and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to travel up to 80% and air travel as needed.
• Must comply with vaccination requirements for HCP access and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Promote Acadia products to HCPs in person and virtually with compliant product education.
• Develop and execute a territory business plan to meet or exceed sales objectives.
• Establish and maintain relationships with HCPs, including key opinion leaders and advocacy groups.
• Address customer questions, concerns, and objections using advanced dialogue and selling skills.
• Tailor approved sales aids and brand resources to meet customer needs.
• Partner with internal colleagues to deliver coordinated solutions.
• Provide pricing, reimbursement, and distribution guidance for access issues.
• Accurately track and report sales activities and customer interactions.
