Job summary

Selective Insurance seeks a senior leader for its Claims BI & Analytics department in New Jersey. You will drive the analytics roadmap, deliver dashboards and insights, and partner with IT to evolve the data warehouse and reporting capabilities.

The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, data-driven decision making, and delivering actionable insights to improve underwriting and claims performance across regions.

Qualifications

• Experience leading BI initiatives and analytics programs.
• Strong grounding in data warehousing and dimensional modeling.
• Ability to translate business needs into analytics solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead BI strategy with dashboards, scorecards and reporting solutions.
• Monitor factors influencing underwriting and claim performance to drive growth and profitability.
• Define frameworks for business problems and supervise analyses and project plans.
• Drive stakeholder engagement, change management and knowledge sharing.
• Develop data-driven decision making capabilities and pursue new data sources.
• Partner with IT on data warehouse and BI environment support.
• Quantify benefits of claim projects with detailed metrics.
• Gather, prepare and deliver insurance operational information and governance.
