Job summary

Selective Insurance is seeking a qualified analytics professional to partner with Claims leadership and other functions. The role develops reports, dashboards, and metrics to support Staff Counsel and senior leaders, delivering high-impact analytical projects and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will build, update, and maintain a robust reporting suite using Power BI, Cognos, and Excel, while guiding end users and driving efficiencies across the claims organization.

Qualifications

• Experience with claims financial/transactional platforms and databases.
• Ability to build strong, collaborative relationships.
• Excellent organization and project prioritization skills.
• Excellent written communication; ability to document clearly.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Cognos analytics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain claims reporting platforms and dashboards.
• Create a monthly claims legal/operational reporting package including dashboard and scorecards.
• Support ad-hoc analytics requests from management platforms.
• Analyze audit data on law firm and vendor performance.
• Perform descriptive analytics and develop executive summaries.
• Document data extraction/cleaning processes and train users.
• Educate end users and scale Claims platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and attend meetings.
