Job summary

The City of Lincoln Information Technology department seeks an IT Executive Support Specialist to deliver high-quality, executive-focused technical support to the leadership team, including C-level executives. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience providing executive-level IT support in a large enterprise.
• Knowledge of Windows, macOS, Linux and productivity suites (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
• Familiarity with networking, mobile devices, and remote connectivity solutions.
• Strong problem-solving and exceptional interpersonal skills.
• IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL, or MCP preferred.
• Availability for occasional after-hours and weekend support.
• Willingness to travel for on-site support or training.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized and timely technical assistance to the executive leadership team.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for executives.
• Conduct one-on-one or group IT training for executives.
• Manage inventory, configuration, and deployment of executive devices.
• Implement security measures to safeguard devices and data.
• Coordinate with external vendors to resolve escalated issues.
• Develop and execute a strategic technology roadmap for executives.
• Monitor systems to identify issues before they impact productivity.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and procedures.
• Travel to multiple organizational sites or client locations as needed.
