Job summary

SMI Hotel Group is seeking an Executive Housekeeper to ensure guest rooms and public areas meet brand standards. You will supervise housekeeping and laundry staff, assign daily tasks, and monitor cleanliness in rooms, storage areas, restrooms, and public spaces.

Strong leadership and organizational skills are essential. The ideal candidate has at least 4 years in housekeeping with 2+ years in a supervisory role, plus excellent communication.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in all aspects of Housekeeping in a large facility.
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be flexible with working nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise housekeeping and laundry staff.
• Assign daily boards to housekeeping team members.
• Maintain room quality based on hotel objectives.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness in rooms, storage areas, laundry, restrooms, and public areas.
• Compile and report accurate status of guest rooms to front office.
• Oversee all housekeeping duties and labor cost goals.
• Establish cost control systems for staffing, linen inventories and supplies.
• Conduct inventories of linen, supplies and equipment.
• Ensure guest services quality and positive guest relations.
• Prepare for audits, evaluate results, and implement improvements.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain cost control systems for staffing linen inventories and cleaning supplies
• Conduct inventories of linen, supplies, and equipment
• Ensure quality services are rendered in meeting guest needs and that guest relations are enhanced
• Ensure satisfactory scores with brand by preparing for audits, evaluating results, and collaborating with management and team with necessary improvements
• Other duties as assigned
