Excel Hotel Group in Huntington Beach is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to assist the General Manager in supervising housekeeping and laundry operations, ensuring quality standards and optimum service for hotel guests.

The role involves scheduling, training, performance monitoring, inspecting rooms and public areas, addressing guest requests, and coordinating supplies to meet guest satisfaction and company objectives.

Qualifications

• 1-2 housekeeping or janitorial experience required.
• 1-year supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours in a day; lift up to 50 lbs.
• Follow verbal directions and complete tasks on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Trains employees and ensures they have tools and equipment to carry out duties.
• Monitors performance and recommends disciplinary action when needed.
• Inspects rooms, suites, and public areas to ensure cleanliness and repair.

• Responds to guest complaints and requests to ensure satisfaction.
• Notifies management when supplies and equipment levels are low.

Job Summary

Assist the General Manager in the supervision of the housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure product quality standards are met and that optimum service is provided to hotel guests according to hotel and company business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Schedules room cleaning assignments to ensure proper coverage.
• Trains employees and ensures they have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their respective job duties.
• Monitors job performance and makes appropriate recommendations for disciplinary action when needed.
• Inspects all assigned rooms/suites and public areas to ensure furnishings, guest rooms/suites, equipment, linens, and public areas are clean and in good repair to meet guest satisfaction.
• Advises employees of deficiencies and instructs on correct
• Responds to guest complaints and special requests ensuring appropriate corrective action is taken to achieve guest satisfaction.
• Notifies management when par levels for supplies and equipment are insufficient.
